The team at Solar Service saved us in these 102 degree days! Our power provider had a 12-hour outage that caused a fault between it and our solar system. Though the grid was back on, something with our solar system prevented us from getting grid power, necessary to run our AC unit. We were surviving solely on the battery backup system. We called Enphase, the product company. They tested the system but were unable to help. Per their recommendation, we called companies that Enphase listed as installers. We could only leave messages with them (fyi - Greenbelt was the only one that eventually called us back). We then looked up who is a local service company (not installer), saw the reviews for Solar Service, and gave them a call. The first surprise was that they actually answered (unlike the others)! Brian was super helpful. Although they were booked out a few days, he understood the severity of our situation. It wasn't necessarily a solar system repair that could be put off but something preventing us from being connected to the power grid when we needed AC. He squeezed in their technician, Zane, for that afternoon. Zane was awesome! Within an hour, Zane had it diagnosed and repaired! The problem was a 250V/60A fuse AND a surge protector. SOLAR SERVICE ROCKS!!!! I'm calling Enphase and making sure they have Solar Service listed as our main service company moving forward. After a month of numerous unexpected breaks and expenses with our house, it was a relief to find a company that treated us like human beings and were there to help, not take advantage.

Jordan did a great job in helping us find and fix our solar system issue. We have had issues every since Longhorn installed our system. It turned out that Longhorn didn't install all the MCI units per the design. With 2 MCI units missing, our inverters kept failing and were throwing error codes, limiting our production. Jordan identified where the missing MCI units were supposed to be and installed two more. Since the repair, the system is back online and production is up.

I had critter guards put on my solar panels today. 4 young men came and installed the guards on my 17 solar panels. One explained how they were installing them. The inspector was great, Zane was courteous and knowledgeable. I'm greatful that the report is full of pictures outlining everything he was able to look at. We hired Solar Service for a detach and reset as part of our roof replacement. Our setup is fairly complicated, with a SunPower system using Enphase microinverters along with a Tesla solar and Powerwall system, but Orlando handled the installation well. After the panels were reinstalled, both systems were working properly and have continued to perform great.While the panels were on the ground, some of them fell over because of strong wind and weather. When I reported the issue, Harrison and Josie in the back office were responsive, and Orlando came out promptly to secure them.We also appreciated that panel cleaning was included at no additional charge. Overall, Orlando did a great job with a complex installation, and Harrison and Josie communicated well and were responsive throughout the process.

We needed some repair work and a check up of our 14 year old PV system. The company that installed the system is no longer in operation, so we needed a new service company. Today Zane came out to clean the solar panels. He did an amazing job!!! Upon arrival, he inspected the inverters and associated hardware. I told him that I had recently changed internet providers and could not get one of the inverters to connect to the new wireless network (for monitoring purposes). He corrected the issue in a manner of minutes! He told me there would be no charge for this service but I insisted on paying something, so he added a nominal fee, much less than I would have paid the company that installed the array. Then Zane cleaned the panels and now they look brand new! I could not be happier with the work that was done today and will definitely reach out to Solar Service the next time I need help. Zane came out did a thorough inspection to determine why my inverter was showing a fault. The problem would cost more than 4000.00 to repair. Austin energy pays so little for PV production that it would take more than 5 years to recover the repair cost. On a system that is already 12 years old. Hard to justify. Sad that Austin energy is so short sighted in their treatment of the producers that save them from having to build out new capacity.

Jack went above and waaaay beyond the call of duty on my simple solar repair (reconnecting the communication unit to the internet, which required admin level access) when he got down the road from my house, only to hear my cat had gotten locked in the back of his utility van! He came back to my front gate and tried to call, and text and call, and I just wasn’t responding (because Spectrum mobile service is a LOT LESS reliable than Solar Service is!). So Jack jumped my gate and walked the 1/4 mile to my house, all to ask if I could come retrieve my cat from his van! Solar Service provides the BEST service, and is ultra-reliable. I couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

Work was done well and they look great. I wasnt there in person when they completed and after asking for connection details I was texted instructions that used the wrong app and this got things in a bad state. Fortunately Harrison came out the next day and after 20 minutes of troubleshooting and resetting things I’m connected. Interface for device isn’t the most intuitive and I didn’t get instructions to register for warranty or manual for inverter but things are working well.

Provided a large deposit. Was told part would be available in 2 weeks, no call back, called multiple times. Now it is over 5 weeks later and complete silence. Their 3rd party answering service has no information on anyone in the company, they only send emails.
